I work with a couple of guys from India who are both emphatic that this is the most accurate, true-to-life depiction of Mumbai life that has been produced in a feature film. I'm still not sure how I feel about seeing it.
It is one of those films that I think makes the emotional effort to balance out the ugly/sad side of Indian life with love and persistent humanity through it all.
And, I think Danny Boyle is a very creative director, and I'm always curious what he is up to.
Saw it. Liked it.
