Today She Is...

another year older! Hopefully she doesn't get too mad that I display her like this.

A poem entitled "For Dorothy", which today will be for Christy, by Marvin Bell:

You are not beautiful, exactly.
You are beautiful, inexactly.
You let a weed grow by the mulberry
and a mulberry grow by the house.
So close, in the personal quiet
of a windy night, it brushes the wall
and sweeps away the day till we sleep.

A child said it, and it seemed true:
"Things that are lost are all equal."
But it isn't true. If I lost you,
the air wouldn't move, nor the tree grow.
Someone would pull the weed, my flower.
The quiet wouldn't be yours. If I lost you,
I'd have to ask the grass to let me sleep.

Three cheers for Christy!!! That was a perfect tribute, Les.

One of my favorite things about Christy has always been her personality. I know that is a broad statement, but she is so much fun and so kind-hearted. I love to be with her.

Happy Birthday Christy!

My favorite part of the video was you guys standing in front of a Magnum, P.I. helicopter. Awesome! Oh, and happy birthday Christy. I've only met you once or twice, but anyone that can tame Les Blake deserves a wonderful birthday.
